Recently, the spring breeze brings warmth, and thousands of miles away, the Arctic Circle is experiencing ice melt due to global warming, reducing the habitat of polar bears. At the same time, marine pollution is becoming more severe, threatening the health of marine and polar life, which is concerning.
This February, 'Green in Tuen Mun' will hold a Polar Bear Carnival on February 27th, 'International Polar Bear Day', to raise awareness about climate change and how our daily lifestyles impact distant arctic ecosystems. We will promote waste reduction and energy conservation for a greener lifestyle.
Let's take a look at the day's activities: we have invited schools in the Tuen Mun district to co-host booth games that test your knowledge of environmental protection and recycling. There will also be a conservation theater performance by children, allowing us to understand the plight of polar bears and other creatures. Of course, we will have our popular #FreeSecondhandMarket, #CowSearch that tests your eyesight, and #EnvironmentalWorkshops to teach us how to upcycle recycled materials, cherish existing resources, and practice a zero-waste lifestyle!
Every time we choose to reduce waste and take energy-saving actions, we gently embrace the distant snowy homeland and make the most solid promise for the future of the Earth.
Mark your calendars and invite your family and friends to join us at 'Green in Tuen Mun'!
Activities: 'The Polar Bear's Call for Help' exhibition, low-carbon commitment wall and interactive photo area, conservation theater and interactive activities, environmental workshops, free second-hand market, booth games, and 'Cow Search' special event
