billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$40.04 billion, or 16.58% of the market's
turnover. There were 819 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and CSOP HS TECH
(03033) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$5.43 billion and HK$3.75
billion, or 13.57% and 9.36% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 30.17% and 43.83% of respective stock's turnover.
HSCEI ETF (02828) and TENCENT (00700) registered HK$2.66 billion and HK$1.96 billion of
short sales, accounting for 6.65% and 4.91% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 37.69% and 16.12% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.22, or 0.83%, to HK$26.66. CSOP HS TECH ended up HK$0.014,
or 0.28%, to HK$4.95. HSCEI ETF rose HK$0.52, or 0.57% to HK$91.02. TENCENT jumped HK$12,
or 2.35%, to HK$522.5.
