billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$19.99 billion, or 14.77% of the market's
turnover. There were 781 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and CSOP HS TECH
(03033) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$2.82 billion and HK$1.67
billion, or 14.08% and 8.35% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 32.07% and 49.39% of respective stock's turnover.
HSCEI ETF (02828) and TENCENT (00700) registered HK$1.25 billion and HK$1.12 billion of
short sales, accounting for 6.24% and 5.59% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 40.47% and 15.73% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.24, or 0.91%, to HK$26.68. CSOP HS TECH ended up HK$0.04, or
0.81%, to HK$4.976. HSCEI ETF rose HK$0.78, or 0.86% to HK$91.28. TENCENT jumped HK$13.5,
or 2.64%, to HK$524.
