[ET Net News Agency, 16 December 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$107.15 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$17.69 billion, or 16.51% of the
market's turnover. There were 774 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and HSCEI ETF
(02828) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.72 billion and HK$1.61
billion, or 9.73% and 9.09% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 29.56% and 46.48% of respective stock's turnover.
BABA-W (09988) and A GX HSCEICC (03416) registered HK$1.46 billion and HK$757.6 million
of short sales, accounting for 8.25% and 4.28% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 15.95% and 89.19% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed down HK$0.48, or 1.86%, to HK$25.36. HSCEI ETF ended down HK$1.94,
or 2.12%, to HK$89.46. BABA-W fell HK$5.3, or 3.57% to HK$143.3. A GX HSCEICC declined by
HK$0.2, or 1.9%, to HK$10.32.
