[ET Net News Agency, 8 April 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$226.6
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$47.32 billion, or 20.88% of the market's
turnover. There were 727 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and TRACKER FUND
(02800) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$8.75 billion and HK$3.33
billion, or 18.5% and 7.04% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 58.61% and 16.87% of respective stock's turnover.
TENCENT (00700) and XIAOMI-W (01810) registered HK$2.83 billion and HK$2.5 billion of
short sales, accounting for 5.99% and 5.28% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 19.73% and 14.79% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH closed up HK$0.168, or 3.91%, to HK$4.464. TRACKER FUND ended up HK$0.4, or
2%, to HK$20.44. TENCENT rose HK$5.8, or 1.33% to HK$441.2. XIAOMI-W jumped HK$2.05, or
5.62%, to HK$38.5.
