[ET Net News Agency, 20 March 2025] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$294.86
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$46.48 billion, or 15.76% of the market's
turnover. There were 697 short-selling stocks. HSCEI ETF (02828) and CSOP HS TECH (03033)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$6.34 billion and HK$3.76 billion, or
13.64% and 8.09% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
35.43% and 58.63% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND (02800) and TENCENT (00700) registered HK$3.01 billion and HK$2.59 billion
of short sales, accounting for 6.48% and 5.57% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 23.97% and 9.89% of respective stock's
turnover.
HSCEI ETF closed down HK$1.7, or 1.81%, to HK$92.02. CSOP HS TECH ended down HK$0.2, or
3.38%, to HK$5.715. TRACKER FUND fell HK$0.54, or 2.15% to HK$24.54. TENCENT declined by
HK$20.5, or 3.8%, to HK$519.5.
