[ET Net News Agency, 22 January 2025] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$135.32 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$24.78 billion, or 18.31% of the
market's turnover. There were 664 short-selling stocks. HSCEI ETF (02828) and TRACKER FUND
(02800) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$3.36 billion and HK$1.38
billion, or 13.56% and 5.59% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 40.84% and 15.31% of respective stock's turnover.
MEITUAN-W (03690) and CSOP HS TECH (03033) registered HK$1.32 billion and HK$1.08
billion of short sales, accounting for 5.35% and 4.36% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 21.78% and 35.51% of respective stock's
turnover.
HSCEI ETF closed down HK$1.5, or 2%, to HK$73.44. TRACKER FUND ended down HK$0.35, or
1.72%, to HK$19.97. MEITUAN-W fell HK$6, or 3.79% to HK$152.5. CSOP HS TECH declined by
HK$0.11, or 2.39%, to HK$4.488.
