[ET Net News Agency, 21 January 2025] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$147.98 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$26.42 billion, or 17.86% of the
market's turnover. There were 668 short-selling stocks. HSCEI ETF (02828) and CSOP HS TECH
(03033) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$3.36 billion and HK$2.72
billion, or 12.73% and 10.31% of the total short sales value respectively. The
transactions represented 44.47% and 42.59% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND (02800) and MEITUAN-W (03690) registered HK$2.27 billion and HK$1.51
billion of short sales, accounting for 8.6% and 5.73% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 26.56% and 23.3% of respective stock's
turnover.
HSCEI ETF closed up HK$0.86, or 1.16%, to HK$74.94. CSOP HS TECH ended up HK$0.104, or
2.31%, to HK$4.598. TRACKER FUND rose HK$0.2, or 0.99% to HK$20.32. MEITUAN-W jumped HK$3,
or 1.93%, to HK$158.5.
