HK$114.67 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$18.11 billion, or 15.79% of the
market's turnover. There were 669 short-selling stocks. TENCENT (00700) and MEITUAN-W
(03690) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.28 billion and HK$951.31
million, or 7.06% and 5.25% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 20.76% and 23.33% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH (03033) and XIAOMI-W (01810) registered HK$850.55 million and HK$660.84
million of short sales, accounting for 4.7% and 3.65% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 19.06% and 20.9% of respective stock's
turnover.
TENCENT closed up HK$4.6, or 1.13%, to HK$410.8. MEITUAN-W ended up HK$2.9, or 1.69%, to
HK$174.8. CSOP HS TECH rose HK$0.018, or 0.42% to HK$4.334. XIAOMI-W declined by HK$0.3,
or 1.06%, to HK$28.
