HK$112.05 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$13.54 billion, or 12.08% of the
market's turnover. There were 652 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and BABA-W
(09988) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.55 billion and HK$772.37
million, or 11.47% and 5.71% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 21.88% and 17.62% of respective stock's turnover.
HSCEI ETF (02828) and XL2CSOPHSTECH (07226) registered HK$755.55 million and HK$738.75
million of short sales, accounting for 5.58% and 5.46% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 32.71% and 41.04% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed down HK$0.58, or 2.75%, to HK$20.54. BABA-W ended down HK$3.9, or
3.96%, to HK$94.5. HSCEI ETF fell HK$2.3, or 2.98% to HK$74.76. XL2CSOPHSTECH declined by
HK$0.302, or 6.31%, to HK$4.482.
