[ET Net News Agency, 3 June 2026] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$169.75 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$28.81 billion, or 16.97% of the market's turnover. There were 829 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and TENCENT (00700) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$4.37 billion and HK$1.78 billion, or 15.17% and 6.17% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented 39.01% and 12.29% of respective stock's turnover.
MEITUAN-W (03690) and LENOVO GROUP (00992) registered HK$1.54 billion and HK$1.07 billion of short sales, accounting for 5.34% and 3.72% of the total short sales values respectively. The transactions represented 40.13% and 22.37% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed down HK$0.42, or 1.6%, to HK$25.9. TENCENT ended down HK$18.8, or 3.9%, to HK$462.8. MEITUAN-W fell HK$5.2, or 6.08% to HK$80.3. LENOVO GROUP declined by HK$0.7, or 2.63%, to HK$25.88.
