There were 773 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and HSCEI ETF (02828) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$2.74 billion and HK$1.26 billion, or 12.63% and 5.81% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented 39.35% and 42.16% of respective stock's turnover.
SMIC (00981) and TENCENT (00700) registered HK$994.29 million and HK$813.21 million of short sales, accounting for 4.59% and 3.75% of the total short sales values respectively. The transactions represented 14.75% and 14.24% of respective stock's turnover.
